High Risk Pregnancy

Since I came to work at St George Hospital in 1996 I have been involved with caring for women with high risk pregnancies at the Hospital. Examples of pregnancies classified as high risk are those where the mother has high blood pressure or other medical problems, twin pregnancies, or pregnancies in women with a history of infertility or previous difficult delivery. Although most of my pregnant patients in private practice are low risk, because of my experience in this area I see a greater proportion of these women than most other obstetricians.
